Host a Screening

Calling all champions of Canadian film! National Canadian Film Day (NCFD) is a one-day celebration of Canadian cinema.

The ninth annual NCFD will take place on Wed. April 20, 2022, and great Canadian movies will be available on air, online and in cinemas, libraries, living rooms or anywhere you can show a film. If you’re interested in participating, we’re here to help!

Whether you’ve picked your film or you’re still unsure on logistics, your first step to creating an unforgettable event is to register for NCFD.

COVID-19 Protocols

Please follow your local public health guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event in accordance with government regulations.

Film Selection

We are available to help you choose the right film for your event. With years of experience in Canadian film, we’re sure we can match your screening with a film your audience will love. This year, our Spotlight Celebrating Indigenous Voices is being presented in association with imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival. The spotlight reflects a broad spectrum of styles and genres including: dramas, comedies, documentaries, coming-of-age stories, horror, and science fiction. We think there’s something here for everyone, but if you’re struggling to find a good match for your audience, contact us for some other great suggestions.

Distribution and Pre-show Materials

In addition to providing you with a digital (or in some cases physical) copy of the film(s) you’ve chosen, we’ve also put together a pre-show presentation for all our screening partners across Canada and around the world, which includes a brief message from the Governor General of Canada, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary May Simon, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M, C.D., and a montage of great Canadian films to get your audience excited.
