Our 2022 spotlight focused on Indigenous-made cinema by filmmakers from many diverse nations across Canada, and was presented in association with imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival. The list included a bit of everything, from the classics that paved the way, to the amazing new wave of films that have premiered recently to widespread acclaim. This list was a celebration of amazing filmmaking but also an opportunity to reflect on the important issues raised in these works.
