2022 Highlights - National Canadian Film Day

After two pandemic-era virtual CanFilmDays we were excited to invite our partners back to celebrate Canadian Film in person again. And they felt the same way, returning in droves to host more than 1300 live events across the country. (But of course a lot of you partied at home as well).

2022 Spotlight

Celebrating Indigenous Voices

Our 2022 spotlight focused on Indigenous-made cinema by filmmakers from many diverse nations across Canada, and was presented in association with imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival. The list included a bit of everything, from the classics that paved the way, to the amazing new wave of films that have garnered so much acclaim. This list was a celebration of amazing filmmaking but also an opportunity to reflect on the important issues raised in these works.
