Following the loss last year of the incomparable Oneida actor Graham Greene, our partners are coming together to pay tribute to his life and legacy, with screenings of his work taking place across the country.

Hard Core Logo @ 30

Bruce McDonald’s classic mockumentary Hard Core Logo has become a certified cult favourite. It’s hard to believe that it is now celebrating its 30th anniversary, and our partners across the country are going all out to honour the occasion.

Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF)

The Vancouver International Film Festival consistently goes all out for National Canadian Film Day, and this year is no different! VIFF is going beyond a single day of celebration with a Canadian Film Showcase running over two weeks with over 50 screenings, offering an enticing blend of new and classic films, featuring local talent and filmmakers from across the country.

RCtv: Black Realities – Identity and Belonging

Thousands of students across the country are joining together for a highly interactive livestream centred around the brand new coming-of-age hockey drama Youngblood. The live broadcast will be hosted by programmer and filmmaker Aisha Jamal, with a discussion featuring the film’s director Hubert Davis and star Ashton James.

(Inter)National Canadian Film Day

This year, the world is taking notice of Canadian film in an unprecedented way! We have a record number of 136 events outside of Canada across almost 50 countries around the world.
