The Point Artist-Run Centre presents Eastern Promises

Anna (Naomi Watts), a London-based midwife, sets out on a mission to find the family of a baby whose teenage mother dies in childbirth at her hospital. As her investigation leads her into a dark network of human traffickers, she soon becomes dangerously entangled with the Russian crime family running it, and their violent henchman, Nikolai (Viggo Mortensen).

Featuring incredible performances, including an Oscar-nominated turn from Mortensen, this masterpiece from David Cronenberg received widespread acclaim, winning seven Genie Awards and the TIFF People’s Choice Award.
