While caring for his dying mother (Campbell) in their small apartment in Sudbury, Henry (Wolff) meets his neighbour Ana (Poots), an opioid addict in need of help. After his mother dies of an overdose, Henry’s grief leads to him spending more time with Ana, sending them both down a rabbit hole of addiction and violence that threatens to consume their lives.
Part coming of age story, part crime thriller, Joey Klein’s sophomore feature is a stark and timely look at the current opioid epidemic.
