Christene Browne
Show Bio
Christene Browne is a groundbreaking Producer, Director, Screenwriter, and Novelist. Raised in Regent Park, Toronto, she started her own production company, Syncopated Productions, in 1990. Her directorial debut, 1999’s Another Planet, was the first feature film directed by a Black woman in Canada. Browne continues to produce film work through Syncopated Productions, and has written three novels since 2013.
