It’s September 1972, and all of Canada is enthralled by the historic Canada-Russia Summit Series hockey competition. But no one is more caught up in it than compulsive gambler Shane (Kirby) who decides to cash in on the national fervour, betting big on the games – against team Canada. As the series swings back and forth, he obsessively pours more and more of his livelihood into this obsession, all in the hopes of getting… a little luck.

This charming and fast-paced romantic comedy is a certified crowd-pleaser, winning the award for Best Narrative Feature at South By Southwest.
