Souterrain (Underground)
Maxime is in his 20s, and works in a nearby mine, splitting his spare time between his girlfriend, and his childhood friend Julien, who is disabled following a car accident that Maxime caused. When an explosion at his mine traps many of his fellow miners, Maxime must go underground in an effort to bring them all back alive - and perhaps redeem himself in the process.

Dupuis is a filmmaker whose writing and directing credits include the shorts J'viendrai t'chercher, Si tu savais Rosalie, Félix et Malou, Faillir, and L’hiver et la violence. Her debut feature, Chien de garde (Family First), was selected as Canada's submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. She also wrote and directed the features Souterrain (Underground), and Solo, which won Best Canadian Feature Film at TIFF.
